Biblical environmentalism: a first cut

In response to posts at Parableman, SmartChristian, and Blogotional, I've outlined a biblically based environmentalism at my blog for longer posts, To the Word. Here's a summary: the problem is greed; the solution is the Kingdom of God.

Accepting your points regarding sustainability and the use of 1 Tim. 4:4 doesn't change the essence of my essay: that humanity-wide egocentrism and greed negatively impact the planet.

No question, egocentrism and greed are negative things, but their negative effects are true for the planet, for other people, and for the soul.
Preaching against them is to be encouraged. Drawing conclusions about the planet from them is not.

Sorry, John. I should have said "Blogotional," but for some reason I looked at the superhero figure next to your name and thought--"Parableman!"
