Linking to a given site doesn't mean I necessarily agree with everything it says. And since this is a blog, not a sermon, I'm not being fastidious about qualifying every post. As I understand it most questions like this one can be answered on the Haloscan forum ...

If you don't use the autoinstaller, and follow the manual steps you will have both, but I have to tell you, that can confuse readers. There is a way, that as John says you can get fromt he forum, to install trackback only...
It's a little tricky, but you can actually add just the haloscan trackback and keep the Blogger comments. I'm the only Blogger that I know of that's done it, but it works for me!
