The need for better Bible doing

Is better Bible teaching the key to better discipleship? Andrew Hamilton wonders:
Knowing the Bible inside out, upside down and back to front is on a par with the bloke who built his house on sand. Jesus declared the difference between him and the other guy was simply that the ‘wise man’ was the one who ‘hears my words and puts them into practice’.

the three questions i ask as i start anyteaching are:

what do I want them to know?
what do I want them to feel?
what do I want them to do?

I can't make no.3 happen, but if I do 1 & 2 reasonably well then there is a chance 3 might just come off!

Dan, as an undergraduate I studied secondary education, and it's always struck me how little the church puts into practice the most basic pedagogical theory.

I look forward to seeing your further thoughts.
