New adventure

Well, after searching four months, I've agreed to preach for the North Penn Church of Christ near Philadelphia. My family will be moving to Pennsylvania at the end of June, and I'm scheduled to begin on staff July 1. We give thanks to God for the opportunity. Thanks also to all of you who have been praying for me and my family during these months "between churches."

Thanks, Dan and Jeff. And you can relax: at least for now I'm not taking on the role of pastor, only preacher and minister.

Milton,

Yes, this was a blessing to hear.

I noticed the new church has a 1 PM Sunday service. That's unusual. My old church used to have a 1 PM service and the pastor said he was always running on fumes by the time 1 PM rolled around.

Then again, this presents the perfect opportunity for the church to regularly meet for lunch after the first service and before the second. Might go a long way toward bridging the communities that inhabit the two services. Great community builder.

Look at me. Already I'm giving advice.

I'll shut up now and just say congrats.
