His post is noteworthy in disentangling the idea of Christian discipleship from idolatrous devotion to country, or even to the cross as a religious object. Linking to a given site doesn't mean I necessarily agree with everything it says. And since this is a blog, not a sermon, I'm not being fastidious about qualifying every post.
