Which professor would you fire?

Illustration fodder: Preachers! Don't miss this breathtaking irony at the University of Colorado (Hat tip: Cross Blog).

Milton,
I am hearing more and more of this, I just heard yesterday on BOT radio of a church group who had an issue coming before their city council so they applied for a petition to assemble at the council meeting, it was granted. On the petition they put there reason as “they wanted to pray prior to the opening of the City Council meeting.”
When there small group assembled in the Councils chambers the police chief arrived and told them if they prayed they would be arrested.
This blew my when our own House of Representatives and Congress have Chaplains they pay to open them in prayer daily. The lawyer that responded to the caller told that they where well within there constitutional rights and that the Police chief was in the wrong, they had the right petition to assemble and as long as their pray was prior to the opening of the meeting they where well with in the law.
Brother The word is coming to a point that the “Seculars or non-believers” that that insist on keeping anything with a good Godly message in it should be left out. Even in my Job at the prison when an inmate wants to get advise or Christian guidance I have to say this verbatim “Are you asking me to discuss Christianity with you?” isn’t that crazy. I even make the person that introduces me when I preach ask me if I have message for them in the chapel on the nights, I preach. Because under The ADA laws “GOD” is not supposed to be their just a higher power if they find god it must be their own discovery. I hope and pray that Teachers, Preachers, Counselors, Chaplains, Ministers and all of Gods children stay they course because I don’t think its going to get any easier, we are going to have too step up our games and train and teach church members to be ready for spiritual warfare. I have a Blog about this at http://serenitythruhope.blogspot.com/2005/01/our-daily-spiritual-warfare-as.html.
In Him,
Pastor Rick

Yes, the culture is becomming more and more antagonistic to the Word of God and his people. Good to hear you know how to navigate the minefields at the prison in your preaching and counseling. Thanks for visiting and for commenting. Thanks, also for the link (and I like the new picture). Peace.
