Praying when we don't feel like it

Ekklesia reminds us that some of the most powerful prayer comes when our emotions aren't really involved.

Milton, Thanls for the link again. But mainly, let me say congratulations on your "anniversary." I'm less than a year at this stuff, and I think you were one of the first blogs I started reading on a regular basis.

Yes, congratulations on your bloggerly anniversary!

About praying when we don't feel like it--good post idea. We've all been there. The older I get, the more neccesary it is to just "pray as I am." I go to God, wooden heart or not, going through the motions until His Spirit revives me. I can still trust that He knows what my deepest need is during these times.

Anyway, just rambling--my 2 cents.

Milton:

Congratulations on the anniversary.

Secondly, I couldn't agree more on ekklesia, which I was always told meant "called out".

Think faith is the primary driver in prayer. Is HE able? And is it to HIS Glory? All about motivation.

Good blog.

Thanks, and you're right about faith and prayer. To God be the glory.
