Whose agenda?

Theocentric Preaching has posted a powerful, two-paragraph quote from Alan Roxburgh on a fundamental shift in the Christian story.

You want fries with that burger?

"our churches have become spiritual food courts for the personal, private, inner needs of expressive individuals"

I believe this may be occuring due to a "fundamental" lack of leadership and discipleship in the church.

Combine that with an ever-rebellious society that will only tolerate a politically correct, easy-does-it Christianity and you have al a carte thoeology and doctrine that becomes consumer driven, like everything else in our society.

Makes the ones who turn up in church who want to be fed and grow left with being hungry 20 minutes after they eat.

Peace bro.
