Trends in the church

John Schroeder, reacting to a recent post at Out of Ur, offers this insight on trends and the church:
Somehow, I cannot help but be struck by the fact that if the church spent less time worrying about trends and more time dealing with God, we'd all be much better off.
Amen.

I was tempted to comment wihtout reading the rest of his article, but I didn't. Now that I have read it, well, my thoughts are pretty much as they were.

It makes me wonder what it is that we think we are really looking for in and through church anyway. Really?

I mean the simplicity of serving, worshipping, praying and fellowshipping in and with the Lord and each other, somehow are percieved as insufficient.

Which only makes me wonder more as to why this is so?

Blessings in Christ Jesus!

Mr Stanley,

When mainstream 'Christianity' begins to understand that demon-inations are divisions and are against God rather than for Him, you will then understand why they have trends and gimmicks to keep them 'alive' - in reality, an impossibilty.

Demon-inations are not The Church - people are The Church and the sooner the people - The Ecclesia - those called by The Father to His Son get themselves out of the Demon-inations, the better it will be for them.
