Some of it the church should listen to and people would stay put. The judgement statement about "my wife and my mother-in-law" sounded like a Freudian slip and was kind of mean spirited - as if we should NOT value what wives and mothers think. If the Holy Spirit is there the Church will be all things to all people as long as they are in fellowship with Him.

PF, My take on that part of the article was not that the writer was misogynistic but rather was commenting on a very real occurrence in churches: the "lots of people" meme referring in fact to members of the speaker's immediate household. In any case, thanks for commenting, and I'm glad to hear from you again. AMS
