Not just desire

Erwin Lutzer asserts that the call to preaching is more than a desire. Qualifications for preaching include "Christian character, giftedness, a mature perspective, inner compulsion of the Holy Spirit and confirmation of the body of Christ." Lutzer's recent talk on the call to preaching is summarized in this week's Preaching Now.

Milton,
Great article you have done it once again you have that knack for find the great ones. The “Calling” to preach is something that when you are called I believe you know without a doubt it’s not a maybe sort of thing. We know that but a layman would not. I thank you for always having such an informative site. I gain a lot from you and what you post I really appreciate you.
Your Friend In His Name,
Rick
