Showing the bigger picture

Peter Mead: "We should not take for granted that people understand the bigger picture, the broad storyline of the Bible."

as soon as i think i understand the bigger picture...the picture gets even bigger...and even very very very much smaller than i can see.

anyway...it sure is good to hear the text as it is in the story.

i use to like to hear "and now the rest of the story" by paul harvey. it kind of reminds me of hearing part of the story and then it being a whole different idea when hearing the whole story.

it was like that for me the other day. a lady i know and her husband both work. she has a daughter the same age as my daughter and they sometimes get together, but, not as much as they use to. the woman called and said that it would be nice if the girls could get together the next day...i said it would...she said how about her daughter come over for awhile then mine could come there for over nite....i said uh ok...then she said, i will bring mine over tomorrow at 7am...well there was the whole story, she needed someone to watch her daughter while she was at work all day. her daughter did come over and the two had a pretty good day together, but, by the end of the day they were tired and did not want to do an over niter.

sometimes it is good to get the whole story. :-)
